The Lake

Golden Pond is a members only private estate lake situated in the heart of the beautiful Test Valley and surrounding countryside rich in wildlife.

Originally the course of the Andover to Southampton canal, the one acre lake has 16 well spaced swims with features including lillies, overhanging willows and excellent margin fishing.

The Stock

Heavily stocked with mixed coarse fish including Tench (both green and golden), Rudd, Perch, Roach to 2lb+ Crucian Carp and Specimen Carp to 23lb.

New for 2026 – 120 small Tench and 20 lovely carp around 8 – 10lb.

Fishing

Although there are plenty of common carp due to its size and shape (canal like) the ethos is waggler fishing the margins as opposed to big carp water tactics.

Surface baits in the evening and quite days is also successful.

There are more fish caught within 1m of the bank.
